Rubric
The students need to know at the outset how they will be evaluated and what is expected of them in order to accomplish the task to the best of their abilities. If journaling and sketchbooks are a requirement of the artistic process, students need to keep track of them and either include excerpts of these components on one of the website pages or submit them separately to the teacher for grading or evaluation.
Time
The Project will have to be completed within specified time frames. This can be broken down into incremental and achievable portions that follow a logical sequence and that are relative to the project flow.
Contribution
Students will be graded on their participation and value of their contributions. This will include such things as an assessment of communication skills and exercising critical thinking abilities. Peer assessment will be an important part of this evaluation. RSS feeds could help teachers keep track of how much and what each of the students is contributing.
Effort
The teacher will have access to sketch books, journals, or any other lead materials that resulted in the final gallery piece. Creative practices will be part of this assessment.
Quality
The students will also be graded on the quality of the work they contribute to the gallery. In addition, the level of creativity will be assessed.
